The Minute That Went Missing

A procession that walked beyond time.

They say there was a night when every clock on the island stopped at exactly 11:59.

But the procession kept moving.

Drummers played rhythms the world had never heard. Torchbearers carried flames that never faded. And at its heart walked a magnificent elephant, carrying a thousand forgotten wishes.

Nobody knew where the procession was heading.

Some believed it was marching into tomorrow. Others whispered that it was travelling backwards, searching for moments people wished they could relive.

By morning, the clocks had started ticking again.

But one minute never returned.

Inspired by the timeless grandeur of Sri Lanka's traditional processions, this monochrome illustration brings an imagined tale of heritage, mystery, and memories to life.

Some moments are too extraordinary to be measured by time.
